I mixed the sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon in a bowl. Than cored and peeled the apples one at a time slicing and putting them in a seperate bowl. After each sliced apple was put in the bowl, I sprinkled it with a little of the sugar mixture.
When I went to pour the apples into the pie shell I discovered they stuck together and didn't lay well. More effort was needed than just pouring to make the pie acceptable.
It is in the oven now. I hope it comes out delicious.
